“After the Solvara Capital exchange went bust, my assets were on a segregated account, but the exchange still froze everything. This firm's lawyers were able to prove ownership of those segregated assets in court, so they were returned in full (35,196 euros). The other part, which was sitting in a liquidity pool, went into the general insolvency estate, where only 10% was paid out. Overall I got back the larger part of the money thanks to filing the documents quickly.”
Crypto exchange: insolvency and segregated assets“the boys are absolute legends. pulled the cash out of CryptON X after the oracle got hacked. the DAO only gave back 30% and the lawyers put the hacker through the wringer in court and got the rest. 12k, straight up. respect”
DEX: protocol exploit and recovery of funds“The broker was Serrano Lending Markets, and to this day nothing has been finalised. They told me plainly: when the regulator shuts down companies of that kind, sometimes a chance of repayment opens up, sometimes it does not. I prefer that to promises made at the top of one's voice. Meanwhile I am caring for my mother after her operation, so I am slow myself. One remark only: send the list of documents in a single file, not in a lot of separate letters. My daughter is doing the typing, because I break everything on the phone.”

He got mixed up in some protocol called OmniCapital, where a hacker drained the liquidity through the oracle. My uncle lost 15k euros. The lawyers somehow leaned on their DAO and got 11k back. My uncle says: ‘Bought new nets for the boat, the lawyers did great, even though I didn’t understand a thing.’”
DEX: protocol exploit and recovery of funds“When FXdirekt Bank was shut down I sat in the kitchen and did not say a word to anyone for two days. I rang a fair number of firms, and for a sum like mine nobody would lift a finger. Here they took the case on and filed the claim with the EdW, the German scheme; I filled in the form myself, in my own hand, and they checked every line of it for me. I received my 20,000 euros. They told me from the start that this is the ceiling the fund can pay, so I built up no illusions. My wife kept saying it was yet another swindle: she does not say that any more. Ms Ida Grandi was patient with my phone calls, and there were a great many of them. Thank you.”
Forex bank: German EdW fund“Nordfelt Markets went under with my money inside it, money that had been sitting there since my years in the Netherlands — CFDs, something I had long stopped looking at. I paid the fee in instalments, agreed up front, and nobody made a fuss about it. The court in Frankfurt recognised the restitution, but a judgment on its own pays nobody: Carrara kept pushing the file until there was an actual transfer, €18 thousand and change. I worked as an electrician for forty years and I do not impress easily. Here they say a thing and then do it. Full stop.”
Forex/CFD: court-ordered restitution“The bank collapsed, the lawyers handled the claim with the EdW. The payout came in yesterday — that's why I'm writing. Every email answered within a day, with the case number in the subject line. At the clinic I demand this from the staff — here I didn't have to.”
Forex bank: German EdW fund“the fca issued a ruling against vexalon trade. the firm helped file for compensation from the broker's fine. got 14266 pounds straight to my bank card. job done well period”
Forex: regulator-enforced compensation“honestly i didn't think a french resident could even turn to a Milan office but the situation with Optiara forced me to look for any way out because after the CySEC decision in 2015 to suspend their licence my money was stuck there completely there was 19,852.30 euros and the manager just stopped replying to emails.. the firm helped file the complaint through the settlement procedure although it took longer than they said at first about seven weeks until the funds came back to my account at BNP Paribas. they took their percentage of the amount but whatever the main thing is the deposit was returned even though it cost a lot of nerves and the communication from the lawyer's side was sometimes rather dry”
