“so basically i thought they were gonna start dumping legal terms on me but no. they explained that if the class action goes to a settlement that’s one scenario, not a guarantee. liked that. waiting to see what’s next.”

“The broker lost its CySEC licence. The ICF fund compensated the maximum amount according to the set formula. Special thanks to the Carrara lawyer who guided me through the whole process without surprises.”

“This is the son writing: the BitGrail account belonged to my father Vincenzo, and his bitcoins vanished along with the exchange. We came to them. The segregated assets were handed back in full, 12843 euros, and I have nothing to say against that. The rest, though, sits in the insolvency estate, and we were warned honestly that it means years of waiting for pennies. Dad is taking it badly, he had counted on getting everything. The work was done, that much is true, but the result is only half.”

“Technology and I have never got on, and one phone call was all the fraudster needed to take advantage. Yesterday the payment arrived: 12,276.16 pounds, under a compensation ruling by the regulator. My colleagues on the ward did not believe it, so I passed the receipts round. The claim was run by Carrara e Associati from beginning to end.”

“A fake broker from the Milton Group worked on me for months, telephone calls from Albania, an extremely polite voice. This firm brought me in as civil party in criminal proceedings already open in Turin, and the judge awarded an interim payment: 13,775 euros straight away, the rest referred to the civil court. It took almost two years — long enough that I built a new shed in the garden in the meantime and had stopped thinking about the case at all; the money then covered the materials almost exactly. I take the star off for how long it ran, not for the work. Ms Merlini, your updates were as dry as stale bread, but they came on time, and for that I am grateful.”

“Bank insolvency, claim with the EdW, the processing at Carrara took three months, and I received full compensation within the limit, and there are no long stories here.”

“€6,480 came back out of €9,200. After the fee, translation costs and the stamp duty, a little under five thousand stayed in my pocket. Nobody deceived me, the figures were all in the estimate, I signed them myself. It is just that reading them is one thing and seeing them on the statement is another.”

You are right, and there is no way to soften it: on a €6,480 recovery the costs weigh proportionally more than on a sixty-thousand one. In cases under ten thousand we now say so at the first meeting, with the arithmetic done in front of you.

“Fraudsters stole 120k from the wallet and immediately started scattering the money across different wallets. The lawyers froze what was still sitting on the exchange through the London court. Managed to recover 75603 euros. The process is hard, a pile of papers, but the team knows its business. Thank you, Ms Olivieri, for the constant contact.”
